Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed time? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
