Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sun is covered, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 The mountains made to move, 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 And the close of night, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 He is not chary of making public what is unknown. 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 So where are you going? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
