The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 by the Promised Day, 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
