Al-Hijjr 3 of 6
Surely We created man of a clay of mud moulded, 26 And the jinn We created before from scorching fire. 27 But when your Lord said to the angels: "I am verily going to create a human being from fermented clay dried tingling hard; 28 When I have completed shaping him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, then fall you down before him in prostration." 29 So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely, 30 But Iblis (did it not); he refused to be with those who made obeisance. 31 God asked Iblis, "What made you not join the others in prostration?" 32 He said: I am not one to prostrate myself unto a mortal whom Thou hast created out of potter's clay of black mud altered! 33 (Allah) said: 'Begone, you are accursed! 34 and will be subjected to condemnation until the Day of Judgment." 35 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 36 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 37 "Till the Day of the Time appointed." 38 "O my Lord," he said, "since You have led me into error I'll beguile them with the pleasures of the world and lead them astray, 39 "Except Thy servants among them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace)." 40 He said: This is a right course incumbent upon Me: 41 Indeed, My servants - no authority will you have over them, except those who follow you of the deviators. 42 Gehenna (Hell) will be the promise for all of them. 43 it has seven gates: and each gate has a portion of them allotted to it. 44

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
