[O MEN! Pay heed to God's messages,] for it is He who has endowed you with hearing, and sight, and minds: [yet] how seldom are you grateful! 78 He it is who has multiplied you on the earth and to Him you shall all be gathered: 79 It is He who revives and makes to die, and to Him belong the alternation of the night and the day. Will you not understand! 80 Nay, but they say the like of that which said the men of old; 81 'When we are dead and become dust and bones shall we be resurrected? 82 Certainly we are promised this, and (so were) our fathers aforetime; this is naught but stories of those of old. 83 Say: "Unto whom belongs the earth and all that lives there on? [Tell me this] if you happen to know [the answer]!" 84 They will surely say: "Allah's." Say: "Then why do you not take heed?" 85 Say: "Who is (the) Lord of the seven heavens, and (the) Lord of the Great Throne?" 86 They will say, "[They belong] to Allah." Say, "Then will you not fear Him?" 87 Ask them: "Say, if you indeed know, to whom belongs the dominion over all things; (Who is it) that grants asylum, but against Whom no asylum is available?" 88 They will say: "God's." Say: "Then why are you so deluded?" 89 We have revealed to them the truth. But they are certainly liars. 90 No son (or offspring or children) did Allah beget, nor is there any ilah (god) along with Him; (if there had been many gods), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have tried to overcome others! Glorified be Allah above all that they attribute to Him! 91 knowing all that is beyond the reach of a created being's perception as well as all that can be witnessed by a creature's senses or mind and hence, sublimely exalted is He above anything to which they may ascribe a share in His divinity! 92
