The people of Lot accused the messengers of lies. 160 When their brother Lut said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 161 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 162 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 What, of all creation will you go to (fornicate with) the males, 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? Nay, you are a trespassing people!" 166 They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" 167 He said: "I am, indeed, of those who disapprove with severe anger and fury your (this evil) action (of sodomy). 168 My Lord! deliver me and my household from that which they work. 169 So We saved him and his household, every one, 170 save an old woman among those that tarried; 171 then We destroyed the others, 172 We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! 173 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might Most Merciful. 175
