Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an, 1 Indeed, they are astonished that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. So these deniers of the truth say, "This is indeed a strange thing, 2 When we are dead and turned to dust, this returning (to life) is most far-fetched." 3 We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book. 4 Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case. 5 Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein? 6 And the earth- We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and produced therein every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs)- 7 A perception and an understanding, for every bondman who inclines. 8 And We have sent down from the heaven water and blest wherewith We have caused gardens to grow and the grain reaped. 9 And tall date-palms with their spathes pile on pile 10 As a provision for men, and enlivened a region that was dead. Even thus will be the life after death. 11 The people of Noah, dwellers of the Ra's, Thamud, 12 and so did 'Ad, and Pharaoh and Lot's brethren, 13 And the dwellers of the grove and the people of Tuba; all rejected the apostles, so My threat came to pass. 14 Were We exhausted by the act of the first creation? And yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
