Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Those who disbelieve and turn (men) from the way of Allah, He rendereth their actions vain. 1 whereas those who have attained to faith and do righteous deeds, and have come to believe in what has been bestowed from on high on Muhammad - for it is the truth from their Sustainer - [shall attain to God's grace:] He will efface their [past] bad deeds, and will set their hearts at rest. 2 This is because the disbelievers followed falsehood and the believers followed the Truth which is from their Lord; this is how Allah illustrates the examples of people to them. 3 So when you meet those who disbelieve [in battle], strike [their] necks until, when you have inflicted slaughter upon them, then secure their bonds, and either [confer] favor afterwards or ransom [them] until the war lays down its burdens. That [is the command]. And if Allah had willed, He could have taken vengeance upon them [Himself], but [He ordered armed struggle] to test some of you by means of others. And those who are killed in the cause of Allah - never will He waste their deeds. 4 He will guide them, and dispose their minds aright, 5 And admit them to the Garden which He has announced for them. 6 O you who believe! If you help (in the cause of) Allah, He will help you, and make your foothold firm. 7 And (as for) those who disbelieve, for them is destruction and He has made their deeds ineffective. 8 That is because they are averse to that which Allah hath revealed, therefor maketh He their actions fruitless. 9 ۞ Have they never journeyed through the land and seen what was the end of those who had gone before them? Allah destroyed them! Likewise it is for the unbelievers, 10 That is because Allah is the Protector of the believers whereas the unbelievers have none to protect them. 11
