The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And the promised day, 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
