The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created and shaped, 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
