And whosoever turns away (blinds himself) from the remembrance of the Most Beneficent (Allah) (i.e. this Quran and worship of Allah), We appoint for him Shaitan (Satan - devil) to be a Qarin (an intimate companion) to him. 36 And verily they hinder them from the way, whilst they deem that they are rightly guided. 37 Until when he comes to Us, he says: O would that between me and you there were the distance of the East and the West; so evil is the associate! 38 It shall not profit you today, since you did evil, that you are partners in the chastisement. 39 What, shalt thou make the deaf to hear, or shalt thou guide the blind and him who is in manifest error? 40 And if We take thee away, We surely shall take vengeance on them, 41 Or (if) We show thee that wherewith We threaten them; for lo! We have complete command of them. 42 So hold fast to all that has been revealed to thee: for, behold, thou art on a straight way; 43 And verily, this (the Quran) is indeed a Reminder for you (O Muhammad SAW) and your people (Quraish people, or your followers), and you will be questioned (about it). 44 And ask those of Our apostles whom We sent before you: Did We ever appoint gods to be worshipped besides the Beneficent Allah? 45
