Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching soul. 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 Rather, the human desires to continue in his immorality, 5 He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 But [on that Day], when mortal sight is confounded, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 on that Day will man say: “Whither the refuge?” 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 To man will be declared on that Day that which he hath sent on and left behind. 13 Oh, but man is a telling witness against himself, 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 Then Ours it is to explain it. 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 And neglect the hereafter. 21 Some faces on that Day will be fresh and resplendent, 22 gazing upon their Lord; 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 By no means! When it cometh up to the collar-bone. 26 And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?" 27 And he bethinketh that it is the time of parting. 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 That Day the Drive will be (all) to thy Lord! 30
