Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 When souls are reunited 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 When the ledgers are laid open, 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 Every soul will then come to know what it has brought. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 and the night that falls, 17 and brightening morning, 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
