Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Hath there come unto thee tidings of the Overwhelming? 1 [Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled, 2 Laboring, toiling, 3 They shall roast into the scalding Fire, 4 Made to drink water from the boiling hot spring. 5 they shall have no food but thorns, 6 Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 [And] some faces will on that Day shine with bliss, 8 Pleased with their striving,- 9 In a high Garden. 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 There is a stream of running water in it; 12 and couches raised high, 13 And drinking-cups ready placed, 14 well-placed cushions, 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Have they not looked at how the camel is created, 17 And at the sky - how it is raised? 18 how the mountains are set firm, 19 And at the earth, how it is spread out? 20 Admonish thou then; thou art but an admonisher. 21 and are not invested with the authority to compel them. 22 Save the one who turns away and disbelieves 23 Allah will punish him with a mighty Punishment, 24 Verily unto Us is their return. 25 Then verily on Us is their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
