Is it not an indication to those who inherit the land after its people (who thus reaped the consequence of evil-doing) that, if We will, We can smite them for their sins and print upon their hearts so that they hear not? 100 Those cities We relate to thee tidings of; their Messengers came to them with the clear signs, but they were not the ones to believe in that they had cried lies before; so God seals the hearts of the unbelievers. 101 We did not find many among them keeping their promises. However, We did find many evil-doers among them. 102 Then after them, We sent Moosa with our signs to Firaun and his court members, but they did injustice to those signs; therefore see what sort of fate befell the mischievous! 103 Moses said: "O Pharaoh, I have been sent by the Lord of all the worlds; 104 Approved upon condition that I speak concerning Allah nothing but the truth. I come unto you (lords of Egypt) with a clear proof from your Lord. So let the Children of Israel go with me. 105 He said: If you have come with a sign, then bring it, if you are of the truthful ones. 106 So Moses threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent, manifest. 107 And he drew forth his hand, and behold, it looked white to those who beheld it. 108
