And this (Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, 192 With it came down the spirit of Faith and Truth- 193 Upon your heart that you may be of the warners 194 In the perspicuous Arabic tongue. 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a token for them that the doctors of the Children of Israel know it? 197 And had We revealed it unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had read it unto them, even then they would not have been believers therein. 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 They will not believe in it until they suffer the painful torment. 201 It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it. 202 Then they will say: Shall we be respited? 203 Do they wish Us then to hasten the punishment? 204 Tell Me, if We do let them enjoy for years, 205 And then there cometh unto them that which they had been promised. 206 All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them. 207 And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners 208 By way of admonition, and We have never been oppressors. 209 And the Shaitans have not come down with it. 210 it is not for them, nor are they able. 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 Therefore do not worship another deity along with Allah, for you will be punished. 213 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), warn your closest relatives. 214 and spread the wings of thy tenderness over all of the believers who may follow thee; 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 Put your trust in the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who seeth thee standing forth (in prayer), 218 and when you turn among those who prostrate themselves. 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the satans descend? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 on those who whisper hearsay in the ears of people; and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets - it is the seduced who follow them. 224 Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley, 225 and say things which they do not act upon, 226 Save those who believe and do good works, and remember Allah much, and vindicate themselves after they have been wronged. Those who do wrong will come to know by what a (great) reverse they will be overturned! 227
