Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 until an appointed time? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 The living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
