The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 and so am I: 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
