The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

The event that terrifies the hearts! 1 What is the event that terrifies the hearts? 2 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Calamity is! 3 It is a Day whereon mankind will be like moths scattered about, 4 And the mountains will become as carded wool. 5 Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds], 6 shall inherit a pleasing life, 7 But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light,- 8 He is in the lap of one that abases. 9 And what will make you know what it is? 10 It is the scorching fire. 11
