And they ask you, [O Muhammad], about the soul. Say, "The soul is of the affair of my Lord. And mankind have not been given of knowledge except a little." 85 If We pleased We could take away that which We have revealed to you then you should find none to guard you against Us, 86 except by the mercy of your Lord. He has certainly bestowed great favors on you. 87 Say: "If the mankind and the jinns were together to produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they helped one another." 88 And certainly We have explained for men in this Quran every kind of similitude, but most men do not consent to aught but denying. 89 They say: "We shall not believe in thee, until thou cause a spring to gush forth for us from the earth, 90 or, until you own a garden of palms and vines and cause rivers to gush forth with abundant water in them; 91 or cause the sky to fall into pieces on us - as you believe you can - or bring God and the angels face to face with us, 92 “Or you have a house of gold, or you ascend up into heaven; and even then we shall not believe in your ascent unless you send down a book upon us, which we may read”; say (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Purity is to my Lord – who am I except a human, sent by Allah?” (* These can be done, only when Allah commands.) 93
