If only thou couldst see when the guilty ones will bend low their heads before their Lord, (saying:) "Our Lord! We have seen and we have heard: Now then send us back (to the world): we will work righteousness: for we do indeed (now) believe." 12 Had We intended We could have given every soul its guidance; but inevitable is My word that I will fill up Hell with men and jinns together. 13 So taste [punishment] because you forgot the meeting of this, your Day; indeed, We have [accordingly] forgotten you. And taste the punishment of eternity for what you used to do." 14 Only they believe in Our communications who, when they are reminded of them, fall down in prostration and celebrate the praise of their Lord, and they are not proud. ۩ 15 Their sides give-up rest in beds in order to pray before their Lord in fear and hope. They spend for the cause of God out of what we have given them. 16 No soul knows what pleases the eye is in store for them as a recompense for what they used to do. 17 Is one who is a believer like one who is a transgressor? No, they are not alike. 18 Those who believe and do good deeds shall be lodged in the Gardens of Paradise as a reward for what they have done. 19 And as for those who transgress their abode is the Fire. So oft as they desire to get thereout, they shall be sent back thereto; and it will be said unto them: taste the torment of the Fire which ye were wont to belie. 20 And most certainly We will make them taste of the nearer chastisement before the greater chastisement that haply they may turn. 21 And who is more unjust than one who is preached to from the verses his Lord, then he turns away from them? We will indeed take revenge from the guilty. 22
