Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Blessed be He in whose Hand is the Kingdom, He is powerful over all things, 1 The One Who created death and life to test you – who among you has the better deeds; and He only is the Most Honourable, the Oft Forgiving. 2 Who has created the seven heavens one above another, you can see no fault in the creations of the Most Beneficent. Then look again: "Can you see any rifts?" 3 Again turn thy vision a second time: (thy) vision will come back to thee dull and discomfited, in a state worn out. 4 We have adorned the lowest heaven with lamps, and We have made them for driving away devils. For them We have prepared the punishment of the blazing Fire. 5 for, suffering in hell awaits all who are [thus] bent on blaspheming against their Sustainer: and how vile a journey's end! 6 When they are cast into it they will hear it sighing, the while it boils 7 Almost bursting for fury. Whenever a group is cast into it, its keeper shall ask them: Did there not come to you a warner? 8 They shall say: Yea! indeed there came to us a warner, but we rejected (him) and said: Allah has not revealed anything, you are only in a great error. 9 They will say: "If we had listened and been wise, we would not have been among the inmates of Hell." 10 And they will admit their sin, so [it is] alienation for the companions of the Blaze. 11 As for those who fear their Lord in the unseen will have forgiveness and a rich reward. 12 And whather ye keep your discourse secret or publish it, verily He is the Knower of that which is in the breasts. 13 Would He not know, He Who has created, when He is All-Subtle, All-Aware? 14
