Are ye harder to create or the heaven which He hath builded? 27 He lifted up its vault, and levelled it, 28 He has made its nights dark and its days bright. 29 And after that He spread the earth. 30 And brought forth therefrom its water and its pasture; 31 And the mountains He has fixed firmly; 32 As provision for you and your grazing livestock. 33 Therefore, when there comes the great, overwhelming (Event),- 34 The day when man will call to mind his (whole) endeavour, 35 Hell fire will become visible for those who would see it. 36 Then, for such as had transgressed all bounds, 37 And had preferred the life of this world, 38 The Abode will be Hell-Fire; 39 But unto him who shall have stood in fear of his Sustainer's Presence, and held back his inner self from base desires, 40 Paradise will be the dwelling. 41 They ask thee about the Hour,-'When will be its appointed time? 42 About what! You are one to remind of it. 43 [seeing that] with thy Sustainer alone rests the beginning and the end [of all knowledge] thereof? 44 Your duty is only to warn him who fears it. 45 It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof. 46
