The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 by the dawnraiders, 3 So thereupon raising dust. 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
