1/2 Hizb 45
< random >
۞ “Gather all the unjust persons and their spouses, and all that they used to worship!” 22 other than Allah, and guide them to the Path of Hell! 23 and halt them [there]!" [And then,] behold, they shall be asked, 24 What aileth you that ye help not one another? 25 Nay, but on that Day they would willingly surrender [to God]; 26 And they will turn to one another, and question one another. 27 They shall say: Surely you used to come to us from the right side. 28 They will reply: "Nay, ye yourselves had no Faith! 29 We had no power over you. You were a rebellious people, 30 "So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins). 31 Therefore we perverted you, and we ourselves were perverts.' 32 So, they will become partners in punishment. 33 that is how We deal with evil-doers. 34 They were those who, when it was said to them, "There is no god but God," behaved with insolence, 35 And were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet?" 36 Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the messengers (before him). 37 Behold, you will indeed taste grievous suffering [in the life to come,] 38 But it will be no more than the retribution of (the Evil) that ye have wrought;- 39 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 40 For them is a known sustenance, 41 Fruits; and they will be honored 42 (They will live) in the bountiful gardens, 43 sitting face to face upon couches, 44 They will be served with a cup full of crystal clear wine, 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 no headiness will be in it, and they will not get drunk thereon. 47 And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes, 48 As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected. 49 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 50 A speaker of them saith: Lo! I had a comrade 51 Who said: art thou of those who confess to the doctrine of Resurrection: 52 "'When we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed receive rewards and punishments?'" 53 He says, 'Are you looking down?' 54 He looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 'By God', he said, 'you had almost ruined me. 56 And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom). 57 (Another will say:)"Is it true, we are not going to die 58 Save our first death, and are we not to be tormented? 59 This is certainly the greatest triumph 60 For such a reward should the workers perform. 61 Is this better or the tree of Zaqqum 62 which We have made as a torment for the unjust? 63 It is a tree that comes forth in the root of Hell; 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of devils: 65 And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies. 66 And afterward, lo! thereupon they have a drink of boiling water 67 And afterward, lo! their return is surely unto hell. 68 They found their fathers in error, 69 so they are rushing to follow in their footsteps. 70 And truly before them, many of the ancients went astray;- 71 And We had sent admonishers to them. 72 See then the end of those who were warned, 73 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 74
