The tree of al-Zaqqum 43 is the food of the guilty, 44 like molten copper, bubbling in the belly 45 like boiling water. 46 'Seize him and drag him into the center of Hell. 47 "Then pour over his head the torment of scalding water." 48 They will be told, "Suffer the torment. You had thought yourselves to be majestic and honorable. 49 This is that which you doubted' 50 The pious ones will be in a secure place 51 In the midst of gardens and of springs, 52 Dressed in fine silk and in rich brocade, they will face each other; 53 so it will be. We shall wed them to maidens with large, dark eyes. 54 In it they will ask for all kinds of fruit, with safety. 55 and neither shall they taste death there after having passed through their erstwhile death. Thus will He have preserved them from all suffering through the blazing fire 56 As bounty from your Lord. That is what is the great attainment. 57 We have now made it easy on your tongue, in order that they remember. 58 Therefore wait (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) – they too are waiting. 59
