He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 Because the blind man had come in his august presence. 2 And what should teach thee? Perchance he would cleanse him, 3 Or be admonished, and the admonition profit him? 4 As for him who is not in want of any thing, 5 To him you attend; 6 What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah). 7 As for him who comes to you striving (after goodness), 8 And is also fearful (of God), 9 Of him you are neglectful and divert your attention to another, 10 Nay! surely it is an admonishment. 11 and whosoever wills, shall remember it. 12 (Contained) in honoured pages, 13 Exalted, Purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 Honourable and Virtuous. 16 Woe to man! How ungrateful he is! 17 Of what thing hath He created him? 18 From a sperm-drop He created him and destined for him; 19 He makes his path easy for him. 20 Then He causes him to die and be buried. 21 Then when He pleases, He will bring him back to life. 22 Nay, but (man) has not done what He commanded him. 23 Then let man look at his food, (and how We provide it): 24 We send down abundant water, 25 Then We broke open the earth, splitting [it with sprouts], 26 And produce therein corn, 27 And grapes and clover plants (i.e. green fodder for the cattle), 28 and olives, and palms, 29 and dense orchards, 30 and fruit and pastures, 31 For use and convenience to you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening cry shall be sounded 33 on that Day each person will flee from his brother, 34 and from his mother and father, 35 and his consort and his children; 36 Everyone on that Day will have affairs to keep him occupied. 37 Some faces on that day shall shine 38 laughing, and rejoicing, 39 but others will be gloomy 40 Blackness will cover them. 41 Those! they are the infidels, the ungodly. 42
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
