Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
