Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 Nay, but ye will come to know! 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 Indeed you will see hell. 6 and you will see it with your own eyes. 7 Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
