The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. Mim. 1 These are the verses of the clear Book. 2 It may be that you will destroy yourself with grief because they will not believe. 3 If (such) were Our Will, We could send down to them from the sky a Sign, to which they would bend their necks in humility. 4 [But We have not willed it:] and so, whenever there comes unto them any fresh reminder from the Most Gracious, they [who are blind of heart] always - turn their backs upon it: 5 they have indeed rejected the message. But the truth of what they laughed to scorn will dawn upon them before long. 6 Do they not see the earth, how many of every noble kind We have caused to grow in it? 7 Verily therein is a sign; yet most of them are not believers. 8 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
