Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
