Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 for an appointed time? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 The living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
