Whomsoever We grant a long life, We reverse him in his constitution. Do they still not understand? 68 AND [thus it is:] We have not imparted to this [Prophet the gift of] poetry, nor would [poetry] have suited this [message]: it is but a reminder and a [divine] discourse, clear in itself and clearly showing the truth, 69 to the end that it may warn everyone who is alive [of heart,] and that the word [of God] may bear witness against all who deny the truth. 70 Did they not see that We have created animals for them from Our handiwork, so they are their owners? 71 And have subjected the animals for them, so they ride some animals and eat some? 72 And therein they have advantages and drinks; will they not then be grateful? 73 And they have appointed Gods other than Allah, that perhaps they may be helped! 74 (But) they shall not be able to assist them, and they shall be a host brought up before them. 75 Therefore let not their speech grieve you; surely We know what they do in secret and what they do openly. 76 Does not man see that We have created him from Nutfah (mixed male and female discharge semen drops). Yet behold! He (stands forth) as an open opponent. 77 And [now] he [argues about Us, and] thinks of Us in terms of comparison, and is oblivious of how he himself was created! [And so] he says, "Who could give life to bones that have crumbled to dust?" 78 Say: "He who created you the first time. He has knowledge of every creation, 79 He who produces for you fire out of the green tree, so that, lo! you kindle [your fires] therewith." 80 Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the like of them? Aye, that He is! for He is the All-Wise Creator, 81 Verily, when He intends a thing, His Command is, "be", and it is! 82 So glory be to Him who has control over all things. It is to Him that you will all be brought back. 83
