Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 and the partitioners, 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 Those who have forgotten in a state of intoxication. 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 And in the dawns they prayed for forgiveness. 18 and in their wealth there was a rightful share for him who would ask and for the destitute. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
