By the moon, 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 a warning to humankind, 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 except those of the right hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 Till death overtook us. 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
