The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 And it is not amusement. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
