Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers. 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ We cast him out of the fish unto dry land and he was sick. 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you decide? 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 Do you have any clear authority for such claims? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 Except His chosen creatures who do not. 160 You and whatever you worship 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 The angels say, "Each of us has an appointed place. 164 And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, 165 we are they that give glory. 166 AND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say, 167 “If we had some advice from the earlier generations,” 168 "We would have indeed been the chosen slaves of Allah (true believers of Islamic Monotheism)!" 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 Already Our Word has preceded to Our servants, the Envoys; 171 that, verily, they - they indeed - would be succoured, 172 And that certainly Our armies will be victorious. 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 LIMITLESS in His glory is thy Sustainer, the Lord of almightiness, [exalted] above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And all praise unto Allah the Lord of the worlds. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
