He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 when the blind man approached him, 2 And what should teach thee? Perchance he would cleanse him, 3 Or become reminded so that the reminder should profit him? 4 As for him who considers himself free from need (of you), 5 you attended to him, 6 though you will not be questioned even if he never purifies himself. 7 As for him who comes to you striving (after goodness), 8 And is afraid (of Allah and His Punishment), 9 you ignore him. 10 These verses are a reminder 11 so let those who want to follow its guidance do so. 12 (Contained) in honoured pages, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 Noble and pious. 16 Man is (self-)destroyed: how ungrateful! 17 [Does man ever consider] out of what substance [God] creates him? 18 From a (sperm) drop He created him and then determined him, 19 Then He eased the way for him; 20 then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will resurrect him (again). 22 But no. He has not fulfilled what was enjoined on him. 23 Let man reflect on the food he eats. 24 That We pour down the water, pouring (it) down in abundance, 25 and split the earth, splitting, 26 And produce therein corn, 27 And grapes and clover plants (i.e. green fodder for the cattle), 28 and olives and palms, 29 and dense orchards, 30 and fruit and pastures, 31 for you and for your herds to delight in. 32 But when the deafening cry shall be sounded 33 on that Day a man shall flee from his own brother, 34 and his mother and his father; 35 his wife and his sons: 36 Each man will have enough cares that day. 37 (Many) faces on that day shall be bright, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 but some faces will be covered with dust 40 o'erspread with darkness -- 41 Such will be the Kafarah (disbelievers in Allah, in His Oneness, and in His Messenger Muhammad (Peace be upon him), etc.), the Fajarah (wicked evil doers). 42
Almighty God's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
