Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 Aye! they marvel that there hath come unto them a warner from among themselves; so the infidels Say: this is a thing wondrous! 2 Why - [how could we be resurrected] after we have died and become mere dust? Such a return seems far-fetched indeed!" 3 We already know how much of them (of their bodies) the earth will consume. With Us there is a Book that contains all records. 4 Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case. 5 Have they not seen how We have established the sky above them and decked it without gaps and cracks? 6 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every joyous kind 7 A perception and an understanding, for every bondman who inclines. 8 and We have sent down from the sky blessed water with which We have brought forth gardens and grain to be harvested, 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 As a provision for our bondmen; and therewith We have quickened a dead land. Even so will be the coming forth. 11 Before them was denied (the Hereafter) by the People of Noah, the Companions of the Rass, the Thamud, 12 And the tribe of A’ad, and Firaun, and the fellowmen of Lut. 13 the dwellers of the Thicket and the nation of Tubba', all belied their Messengers, therefore My threat was realized. 14 Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation. 15
