Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
