Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 until an appointed time? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
