And this (Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, 192 brought down by the Faithful Spirit 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 In the plain Arabic language. 195 Truly, it is in the Books of the ancients. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter into the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe it until they behold the painful punishment. 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 They will therefore say, “Will we get some respite?” 203 Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on? 204 But hast thou ever considered [this]: If We do allow them to enjoy [this life] for some years, 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 And withal, never have We destroyed any community unless it had been warned 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 And this Qur’an was not brought down by the devils. 210 And it behoves them not, and they have not the power to do (it). 211 Lo! verily they are banished from the hearing. 212 So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised. 213 And warn your nearest relations, 214 Lower thy wing to those who follow thee, being believers; 215 And if they (thy kinsfolk) disobey thee, say: Lo! I am innocent of what they do. 216 And rely upon (Allah) the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 217 who can see whether you stand up 218 and [sees] thy behaviour among those who prostrate themselves [before Him]: 219 Verily! He, only He, is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. 220 Shall I inform you (O people!) upon whom the Shayatin (devils) descend? 221 They come down on every guilty impostor. 222 (Into whose ears) they pour hearsay vanities, and most of them are liars. 223 As for poets, the erring follow them. 224 Do you not see that in every valley they roam 225 and how they say that which they do not? 226 Save those who believed and worked righteous works and remembered Allah much, and vindicated themselves after they had been wronged. And anon those who do wrong shall come to know with what a translating they shall be translated. 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
