Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 Call to mind when he fled to the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 then the whale swallowed him down, and he blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 (Muhammad), ask them, "Do daughters belong to your Lord and sons to them? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him. 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 "There is not one of us who does not have his appointed place," (declare the angels.) 164 "And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service); 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 That they verily would be helped, 172 and Our armies shall be the victors. 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 And (then) see them, so they too shall see. 175 Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
