Surely warners came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They cried lies to Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with the seizing of One mighty, omnipotent. 42 Are your disbelievers better than those, or have ye some immunity in the scriptures? 43 Or do they say: "We are a well-accoutred army?" 44 Soon shall the hosts be routed, and they shall turn (their) backs. 45 Nay; the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Hour shall be more calamitous and bitter. 46 Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness. 47 On the day when they are dragged into the Fire upon their faces (it is said unto them): Feel the touch of hell. 48 We have created everything in due measure; 49 And Our Order is but one word like the flashing of an eye. 50 And (oft) in the past, have We destroyed gangs like unto you: then is there any that will receive admonition? 51 All that they do is noted in (their) Books (of Deeds): 52 every action, small or great, is noted down. 53 Surely those who shun disobedience will dwell amidst Gardens and running streams 54 in a seat of truth, in the presence of a Sovereign who determines all things. 55
