Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Indubitable! 1 What is the Inevitable Hour? 2 And what shall make thee know that which the Inevitable Calamity is. 3 The tribes of Thamud and 'Ad denied that disaster would strike them: 4 So regarding the Thamud, they were destroyed by a terrible scream. 5 And as for A'ad, they were destroyed by a fierce roaring wind, 6 Which Allah imposed upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so you would see the people therein fallen as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees. 7 Do you see any vestige left of them now? 8 Similarly, Pharaoh, and those before him, and the ruined villages, sinned 9 When they disobeyed the apostle of their Lord He seized them with an overwhelming punishment. 10 Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried your ancestors in the sailing ship 11 In order to make it a remembrance for you, and in order that the ears that store may remember. 12 Then, when one blast is sounded on the Trumpet, 13 And the earth and the mountains are borne away and crushed with a single crushing. 14 Then on that Day shall the (Great) Event befall, 15 And the heaven will split asunder, for that Day it (the heaven will be frail (weak), and torn up, 16 And the angels will be on its sides; and on that day, eight angels will carry the Throne of your Lord above them. 17 That will be the Day when you shall be brought forth (before Allah) and no secret of yours shall remain hidden. 18 Then as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Take, read my Record! 19 "Surely, I did believe that I shall meet my Account!" 20 So he will be in a pleasant life - 21 In a Garden lofty. 22 its fruits are near. 23 Eat and drink pleasantly for what you did beforehand in the days gone by. 24 But as for him who will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "I wish that I had not been given my Record! 25 "And that I had never known, how my Account is? 26 Oh, would that it had been death! 27 Our wealth is of no benefit to us 28 “All my power has vanished.” 29 [Allah will say], "Seize him and shackle him. 30 and then let him enter Hell. 31 Fasten a chain to them - seventy cubits long - 32 for, behold, he did not believe in God, the Tremendous, 33 nor were they concerned with feeding the destitute. 34 On this day, they will have no friends 35 Nor any food except refuse, 36 which only the sinners eat". 37
