Are ye the harder to create, or is the heaven that He built? 27 by raising its vault high and fashioning it flawlessly, 28 And He made dark its night, and brought forth its sunshine. 29 And after that He spread the earth; 30 and then brought from it its water and pastures. 31 And the mountains, He made them firm, 32 [all this] as a means of livelihood for you and your animals. 33 When the great calamity comes, 34 on that Day man will [clearly] remember all that he has ever wrought; 35 And hell will stand forth visible to him who seeth, 36 Then as for him who waxed exorbitant, 37 And chose the life of the world, 38 most surely his abode shall be Hell. 39 And as for him who fears to stand in the presence of his Lord and forbids the soul from low desires, 40 most surely his abode shall be Paradise. 41 They ask you about the Hour: “When will it be?” 42 About what! You are one to remind of it. 43 To your Lord belongs (the knowledge of) the term thereof? 44 Your duty is only to warn him who fears it. 45 On the day that they see it, it will be as though they had not tarried but the latter part of a day or the early part of it. 46
