S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Sad. By the Qur'an full of admonition. 1 In fact, the unbelievers are the ones who are boastful and quarrelsome. 2 How many a generation have We destroyed afore them, and they cried when there was not time of fleeing. 3 Now they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a lying sorcerer. 4 Maketh he the gods One Allah? Lo! that is an astounding thing. 5 And the leader among them go away (impatiently), (saying), "Walk ye away, and remain constant to your gods! For this is truly a thing designed (against you)! 6 "We never heard (the like) of this among the people of these latter days: this is nothing but a made-up tale!" 7 “Is the Qur’an which is sent to him, among us?” In fact they are in a doubt concerning My Book; in fact, they have not yet tasted My punishment. 8 Or are theirs the treasures of the mercy of thy Lord, the Mighty, the Bestower? 9 Or is it that the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them is theirs? If so, let them ascend up with means (to the heavens)! 10 This is only a small army out of the several armies that will suffer defeat here. 11 The people of Nuh and Ad, and Firon, the lord of spikes, rejected (apostles) before them. 12 And the Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the dwellers of the wood; these were the confederates. 13 Not one (of them) but rejected the messengers, but My punishment came justly and inevitably (on them). 14
