Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
All that is in the heavens and the earth glorify God. He is Majestic and All-wise. 1 His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, It is He Who gives life and causes death; and He is Able to do all things. 2 He is the First and the Last, and the Outward as well as the Inward: and He has full knowledge of everything. 3 He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six days; then He established Himself on the Throne. He knoweth whatsoever plungeth into the earth and whatsoever cometh forth therefrom, and whatsoever descendeth from the heaven and whatsoever ascendeth thereto; and He is with you wheresoever ye be. And Allah is of whatsoever ye work a Beholder. 4 His is the dominion of the heavens and earth. And to Allah are returned [all] matters. 5 He brings the night in a part of the day, and brings the day in a part of the night; and He knows what lies within the hearts. 6 Accept faith in Allah and His Noble Messenger, and spend in His cause from what He has made you the heirs of; so for those among you who accepted faith and spent in His cause, is a great reward. 7 Why is it that you do not believe in Allah, when the Messenger calls on you to believe in your Lord, and He has made a covenant with you if you are believers? 8 It is He who sends down upon His servant signs, clear signs, that He may bring you forth from the shadows into the light. Surely God is to you All-gentle, All-compassionate. 9 Why do you not spend for the cause of God when to Him belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Those who spend for the cause of God and fight before victory will have higher positions than those who spend for the cause of God and fight after victory. However, to both parties God has promised good rewards. God is Well Aware of what you do. 10
