No affliction befalls, except it be by the leave of God. Whosoever believes in God, He will guide his heart. And God has knowledge of everything. 11 And obey Allah and obey the Messenger; but if you turn away - then upon Our Messenger is only [the duty of] clear notification. 12 God: There is no god but He; and in God should believers place their trust. 13 O ye who believe! verily of your wives and your children there is an enemy unto you; wherefore beware of them. And if ye pardon and pass over and forgive, then verily Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 14 Your wealth and your children are just a test; and with Allah is a tremendous reward. 15 So fear God as much as you can, and listen and obey, and spend in charity for your own good. He who is saved from his own avarice will be successful. 16 If you lend a goodly loan to God, He will double it for you, and forgive you. God knows the worth of good deeds and is clement, 17 knowing all that is beyond the reach of a created being's perception as well as all that can be witnessed by a creature's senses or mind - the Almighty, the Wise! 18
