Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
